I love the creative process of combining different colored gemstones and metal components to create beautiful and elegant designs, and as an artist I never make two identical items. Every jewelry from Lis M is therefore a small piece of art and totally unique.

The jewelry are made from a wide range of materials.

Stainless Steel

Copper

925S Silver is prefered, but my budget doesn't allow me to play much with that material. Stainless steel is a nice substitute though, since the silver color remains

Gemstones and materials such as precious metals (especially silver), glass beads, and leather are being widely used for their characteristics and quality.

Polymer clay gives many possibilities for creativity with several different techniques. The parts are formed by hand, and accuracy is therefor a necessity for a good result.

Leather, waxed cotton and copper is found on most of the items from LisM.

Gems & their properties

Properties of Amethyst:
Agate is a variety of Quartz. Birthstone of Virgo, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces.
This gem is said to be a powerful and protective stone. It guards against psychic attack, transmuting the energy into love and protecting the wearer from all types of harm, including geopathic or electromagnetic stress and ill wishes from others. Amethyst is a natural tranquiliser, it relieves stress and strain, soothes irritability, balances mood swings, dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety. Why choose stainless steel?
With its resistance to rust, oxidation and discoloration, this corrosion-resistant alloy is ideal for long-lasting jewelry designs. It's also unplated and will not fade or chip over time. Jewelry made with stainless steel will endure heavy wear longer than those made with carbon steel and softer base metals. Jumprings and loops made in headpins and wire are less likely to come open under the weight of pendants or multi-layer designs. Stainless steel may contain some nickel, but it's generally considered hypoallergenic for most people. This is the reason that type 316L stainless steel is often used as starter earrings for newly pierced ears.

Nickel and lead in jewelry parts are not allowed sold in Norway. However some of the parts are imported from distant corners of the world, and some part are from old jewelries with unknown origin

To be sure that no one develope allergies from wearing LisM Jewelry, all parts are being tested before installation.
